>>> Play it here! <<<

Hello all, we are pleased to announce the final version of Jammer is now live! Internally considered "version 2.0", this update brings a massive amount of changes to update the game and feel more complete! This update includes:

  • Two new enemies
  • A new power up laser system
  • A new power up item that appears after 15 kills
  • Updated graphics including animated backgrounds and platforms
  • Title screen song finally included!
  • Balance and tuning
  • And more small fixes here and there!

With that, we will close the door on our first game, Jammer, and step forward to our next adventure! However, before we move on, we wanted to take the time to explain a little about ourselves and the Jammer game.

What is Jammer and how did it come about?

Jammer is the first game from Fox God Games. The idea sparked from a simple idea of iterating on a classic game, Balloon Fight for the NES. Soon after, a small game document was drafted up with one goal in mind: tiny game.

We really wanted to stick to a small game format, something achievable within a month or two, that could show off that we could 1. accomplish a game as a team, 2. release the game, 3. do it in a small amount of time.

Soon after the game doc was drafted, we got into contact with an old friend who was excited to make some music for the game, and it all quickly got underway.

We've decided to make the game doc public for all to see, and to give an insight on how the project started! Check it out here:

Who are Fox God Games?

FGG is a small team made up of three guys at the current moment, by the pseudonyms of:

Nogitsune, Shadow Fox, and Fox Knight

Combined, the team makes up for more than two decades of professional experience and nearly a decade of indie experience, so this is certainly not our first rodeo!

The team is still relatively new, however, with Jammer being the first release in its early stages.

What's next for Fox God Games?

We have several ideas lined up, but it's more a matter of what's feasible in a realistic amount of time. We want to get out as many good games as possible, whether they're tiny in scope like Jammer, or something even larger.

We're looking into several different genres, as well, so don't expect only platformer shooters! Exploring and iterating is one of the fun parts of development, but can also be a difficult hurdle to get over.

Keep your eyes on our devlogs for any updates in the near future!
